paulhaskew
I cannot seem to figure this out on the forum anymore... If I start a thread I can see the option to edit the first one, anything after that I cannot... any ideas?
matt74441
Well there is a time limit on how long you have to edit posts. If you're the thread starter you can always edit your first post.

OPaul
It's been this way since I joined... what do you dislike about it? What would you need to edit 20 mins (or whatever the time limit is) down the road?
bangbang023 Veteran Posted July 19, 2004 Veteran Share Posted July 19, 2004 No, it stays on so that in a debate, when someone is proven wrong, they can not simply go back and edit out their comment. paulhaskew
mine was more or less along the lines of typos and such, I can see the point that bangbang makes, but I still despise it...

I don't think you're gonna get hassled over a bunch of typos. I know I make the odd spelling/grammar errors in my posts, but I still manage to get to sleep at night ;)

biorK
mine was more or less along the lines of typos and such, I can see the point that bangbang makes, but I still despise it... As OPaul said, you surely don't need 20 minutes, or whatever the timelimit is on, to read your post a second/third time and fix the typos.
RDX1
I also reread my posts after I type them, but I have noticed that it is sometimes hours before you can not edit them anymore? (Not 20 minutes)

RDX1
the mods don't ignore PMs Maybe they are just busy, but mine don't get responded to often. Same with threads I report to get something changed. (Thread title, mistake, etc)
