Will airport security screwup my digicam?

Recommended Posts

I am taking my Sony digital camera on the plane (no way I am checking it!) with its memory sticks. Is it safe to let them xray it? It wont erase the memory sticks will it?

I have over a gig in memory sticks and I dont want to lose hundreds of photos to some xray machine.

I was pretty sure this was safe but then my travel partner said she was told that it would damage her fancy film camera so she was going to carry hers though the metal detector. She also was told it would ruin her film.

Thanks for any advice.

Hugs & Kisses,

Kibler :) :p :lick: :D ;) :knocked: :old: :rambo:  :p

(glad to see you're making use of the 10 smilie limit :D )

you should be asolutely fine. The only thing that most people would have to worry about is film that's ASA 1000 or higher. Other than that, everything is kosher to go through those things.

You're friend is being overly paranoid about the camera, but the film is justified.
