I just created a very basic (pun intended) Visual Basic program in visual studio 2005 and compiled it. I assume that it uses the .NET 2.0 libraries. Its simple program with one If..then..else statement, but it occupies an amazingly large amount of 21 MB of RAM when i copied the exe file from the bin folder and ran it. The exe file itself is only 16 KB. Any idea why this is happening?
