Yes, put the CD in and launch the installer. There's an option called "Product Documentation". Click it and it will launch the MSDN installation (Y)

gameguy--yes, and no.

regardless of whether he using VS.NET or VS6, the MSDN is on separate CDs, and if he does not have those separate CDs then he can't install anything. .NET may have some help files included on the primary CDs, but MSDN is still separate.. and if he is using VS6, they are completely on seperate CDs..
