A good VB.NET Book


Question

Does anyone kow of any, I started with this one book called Visual Basic.NET by John Smiley it was complete waste of time didnt teach anything about the programming well to be honest a bit but nufin that stucj in my head anyone know any good books i mean books for beginners that teach you programming i know how to use the software etc an dmake forms but programming a bit weak! ;)

Your first lesson is how to use the period key :p.

What do you want to learn? I would go with a generic .net book (I assume you're building WinForms?), since most of the beginner ones are written in vb.

well with my eval of Visual Basic >NET cds I recived along came a book called Getting Started With Visual Basic .NET it was pretty good, it's only the first few chapters of the bigger book called Microsoft Visual Basic .NET Step By Step by Michael Halvorson.
