crazyhorse
When opening up Neowin the image you see pops up. It appears on many sites. I looked it up, definately spyware. I am wondering if Neowin is aware of this? If so, why? If not, I suggest Neosin to look into it and at least inform people that it WILL be downloaded unless you stop it. I have found it is a Google exclusive but I doubt it is limited to that.

Hurmoth
I don't think this came from Neowin! You may have picked it up from somewhere else, but I highly doubt it came from here!

FM
It's just a tracking cookie, probably from the ads. Don't worry about it. It's not typical spyware...just clear your cookies occasionally.
insanekiwi
eeeh. there were threads like this months ago when neowin put up ads to earn some $$ to run this uberleet site. i think neobond or redmak made a threadabout this and promised that neowin DOES NOT send/offer spyware. it's just cookies. bangbang023 Veteran Posted July 24, 2004 Veteran Share Posted July 24, 2004 it's a tracking cookie so it knows what ads you've seen and what you may have clicked on in the past to show you more ads of the same kind. Breathe. Anyways, there is to be no more accusations or complaining about the ads as per the pinned thread. thread closed
