moving/changing swap file

hey.. does anybody know how to change.. or move the swap file to another hard drive.. to get better performance in Windows XP Professional ?? (i fergot how to .. ) :roll:

  1. Right-click "My Computer" and go to properties
  2. Click the "Advanced" tab then click "Settings" under Performance
  3. Then click the "Advanced" tab and click "Change" under Virtual Memory.

You can then choose how big the pagefile is for each drive.

I always set my swap file to 500mb as soon as I install Windows. Just helps to get better performance out of my piddly 256RAM.

If I put all my virtual memory on my second hard drive that has Windows 98, will it be a problem when I use my 98 system? When I attempt to change it over it says another file system exist with this name C:pagefile.sys do you wish to overwrite the existing file with the page file? If I click Yes will it cause problems when i use 98.
