LOC Veteran Posted August 1, 2004 Veteran Share Posted August 1, 2004 Finally after what seemed like months (actually it was only 6 weeks) Revolt .15 has been released for you to enjoy. This is one of if not the best mod in my opinion for CoD. It uses Merciless as it's base for blood effects and what not, just like HoB does. But it's got alot more, sweet weapons and skins and the maps are quite nice to boot. LOC Veteran Posted August 2, 2004 Author Veteran Share Posted August 2, 2004 Yes, Revolt is very good in my opinion. This new version is even better, it just "feels" right you know. There are a few other mods for CoD, the most popular being Heat of Battle. The other big mod is Merciless, but like I said HoB and Revolt both use the Merciless code base (Merciless is a blood mod, but in recent times has added a TON of new stuff, like shell explosion effects, slowdown when shot, incredibly well done blood stains and effects etc) There are many mods in development right now to, but none have released as far as I know, Swat is a popular mod, Modern Warfare is another. You are probably connecting to a server running default CoD maps with Revolt. Turn off Auto downloading in multiplayer options, and try it again.
