YahoKa
I am running a Half Life Server on one of me windows 2000 boxes. The server runs out of a little windows-dos-console like window. My question is, how do i send that to the tray, so anyone that looks at the comp (newbie family you see...) wont close the server windows when the are browsing the net. ElGato
Can't you edit the properties of the shortcut and select "Run minimised"
mortensen
I don't think you'd be able to send it to the tray like you say as I think this has to be coded into the program and is not a Windows function [please correct me if I'm wrong]. It would be nice to do but unless a 3rd-party app does this then I guess you're stuck.
PabUK Veteran Posted September 29, 2001 Veteran Share Posted September 29, 2001 mortensen is right, system tray icons are set from within each individual program. If that feature is not coded, it is not available. I have never heard of software that can do this for any app but it seems reasonable to assume it is possible and therefore such software exists. markm7
There is a small program made by UnHuman Software called Windows Sniper that will hide the window totally, and when you close Windows sniper the window will come back. :D
