rsears
I don't know about AOL but I know in AIM you can change the maximum number of buddies in the Registry. Just go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAmerica OnlineAOL Instant Messenger CurrentVersionBuddy and change "MaxBuddies" to whatever value you want. radioboy
That registry hack only works for versions before 4.5. With 4.5 they switched to server-side buddy lists, so that registry value has no effect anymore. You can't get more than the limit, it can't be done. Plus if you could there would be a million programs to just fill lists with bogus SNs to flood the AIM servers.
Keldyn
It is determined by AOL' servers when signing in. It cannot be changed. :ermm: [edit] heh.. nuggetman beat me to it. :D Errrm.... see above please ;) [/edit]
dkg_ctc
Originally posted by nuggetman That registry hack only works for versions before 4.5. Actually, 4.3 was the first to introduce server-side buddylists; 4.2 and previous, however, will work with a change to the registry. As for the original question, the only way I can think of is to have more than one screenname, and use one of the numerous AIM cloners out there. Prof. Frink
Comb through the list and delete people you don't talk to. That is unless you actively talk to 200 people :o
