The little connect icon down in the right corner is showing the max speed setting rather than the actual speed connection. I have forgotten how to change this!!! Help!!!! Veteran Posted September 29, 2001 Veteran Share Posted September 29, 2001 If you're using DSL or Cable connection and your on Windows 2k or Windows XP then the connection is actually 10Mbps/100mbps. The modem is capable of doing that so that's what the connection from the computer to the modem is and that's what it's always gonna be. The connection from the modem to the internet might be alot slower because of internet traffic and other stuff but don't worry about that... that's trivial stuff.:evil: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
