[NFL] Tim Brown to be released from the Raiders

Recommended Posts

Tim Brown is leaving the Oakland Raiders after 16 prolific seasons.

Salary cap constraints and the reality of reduced playing time for the 38-year-old veteran persuaded owner Al Davis to part ways with the last former member of the Los Angeles Raiders. Brown, who will be released Thursday, Aug. 5, holds most of the club's receiving records, and his 240 games in Silver and Black are the most in franchise history.

This is sad. If anyone ever deserved to retire with their team it was Tim Brown. It'll be tough for the Raiders to say goodbye but every mans junk is anothers gold.

For all we know maybe the Raiders wanted him to retire from them, but damn how long is this guy planning on playing? :D

They kept him on the payroll for what around 15 years?
