Joswin
No not a warez thread, im talking about these..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll...item=2012640441 Now im quiet a skeptic, but this purked my interest today as i remember hearing a while ago (quiet a while ago actually) that there was a way to get MS software for free if you knew how. Seeing this started me thinking about it again, anyway anyone got one of these before and is it really the con were expecting? The phrase "If its too good to be true it usually is" springs to mind but i could be wrong? ;) Its just funny that when i looked on the web people are only *selling* this information but not putting it on websites for free (as usually underground peeps do) ;) hmmm funny that. zivan56
I was tempted to bid on this because of the cheap price, but I dont believe that this is real or if it is then probably a loophole in the ms license.
freeza
that page is too long for me to skim through heh does the shipping make up in its low price?
-Viper-
This is a scam... Well sort of. It does not tell you anything that you don't already know, such as going to launch events and getting a copy of whatever. I did get a full version of MS Office 2000 professional (in the original box) for completing a survey online, and that did come directly from MS. You don't have to pay someone for this information, it is just common knowledge. Not that anyone would really care, but if you want to know where I do the surveys at just PM me and I will let you know where to go. Joswin
I know. I didn't say that i was buying into it. I was just interested in what tis *so called* information was. Keep seeing it and i just remember someone telling me about it a while ago which is why i thought i would ask in here (well it was late and i was bored). :)
mortensen
these 'colorful and variable font-size ads' is something that moves straight into my trashcan when i run over it. not even reading it. Yeah.... you can't take it seriously if they can't even lay it out in a nice way. This gets ignored quicker than a 'Firm up your breasts' I find in my inbox. :right:
Joswin
lol yeah. How to become rich in less than 24hrs!!! and other junk. If they made it look professional people might actually not delete it for a couple more seconds ;).
TimeRider
As Lost said, MS gives away alot of software free for going to their Launch Events, Roadshows and participating in their surveys/programs. I received two copies of XP Pro last October by attending a Roadshow in Denver. I had to go to Denver to get them, but I coupled the event with a little holiday in the mountains and had a fabulous time. The year before it was a copy of Millennium. Usually they will have these all over the country and while they might not have one in your town, they are usually spread out enough geographically, that you can get to one in a day's drive or less.
