Oooh, just as I was about to buy a domain name for my own project :p

I've been trying to get in touch with you on GameSurge, but I guess it was a bit early in the morning(for both you and me...damn neighbors with their lawnmowers).

I am currently working on a program tentatively dubbed eLearner, a forced learning program meant for African nations as part of a university initiative. Basically, this program will be installed in various universities in African nations where AIDS is rampant. eLearner locks down a PC and makes a user go through surveys and "learning modules" on safe sex, and other AIDS related topics to educate them on proper ways to prevent/reduce AIDS. Once a user has completed a certain number of modules in one sitting, the PC unlocks itself, allowing the user to surf the internet or what he/she pleases. Next time the same user returns, s/he goes through the above process again, albeit with the next survey and learning module in line.

The real cool feature of this program is that it is fully scaleable, meaning modules can be swapped easily (say you want to suddenly switch to "Algebra" modules or something). The surveys that are collected to MySQL databases are then analyzed to determine the effectiveness of eLearner.

This program is fully free, and although not yet complete, is slated to be piloted in a Cameroonian university by December 2004. The idea is the brainchild of one of my professors at college, and while I did get paid for the project, there will be no revenue gained from the program itself.

Nice, I was about to buy hosting as well. I really need hosting space for my band's website. At the moment the site is hosted by angelfire and works horribly. If you have more accounts then all their fans would really appreciate it.
