I ponder about more functions of this format.. I wonder what we can exactly hack-out of it.

I am wondering if we can make it do windows commands that would unload the shplayer.dll and then load a replacement "skinned" version in its place. If we can perform actions like this in a basic .mstheme file.. Customizing Windows will be a little easier. I am going to see what I can tinker with tomarow when I have some time on my hands.. Or if I can not manage it with this program.. I will see if I can make a general "external" bypasser.

sounds like fun... I'd prefer for someone to hack the shellplayer so it works in 2k ;)

hehe

yeah yeah, I'm aware of the winamp plugin that's out

off topic, do you like my webview:

Heh, I'm proud of myself. Nobody else has customized it as much as this (as far as I've seen). :D

Nice, one thing I am wondering.. can you manage to change the toolbas using some XML? It's done on websites.. why not in folders using webview?

B.T.W. I am glad someone ripped that code from MS's website ;-)

something to think about.

Anything supported in IE is supported in webview (I'm assuming... I've tried some DHTML, it worked, vbscript works, javascript of course works...).

so what exactly are you trying to do

Also not abad shell modification, how exactly did you change the Drive Icons but? are they int he shell32.dll?

Actually that's just a little webview mod. Mostly took ripping stuff from other places and properly implementing it (rhodium edge theme, longhorn theme, www.microsoft.com for scripts, heh).

It was more about trial and error than anything else. I'm still not done though. Heh.

And yes, drive icons are in shell32.dll.

Whats webview?, What Scripts? for the love of god, this sounds intresting but im lost.

That screenshot you're looking at is Win2k if you didn't know. heh. Webview is just like the tasks panel in XP.

Most of the webview stuff is stored in browselc.dll though I've been having trouble editing it with resource hacker.

So does this basically is there anything cool that can be added to XPs webview thing or is it more sorta for win2k users.

not sure yet... i need to figure out how to successfully edit the browselc.dll file... resource hacker is having some trouble with it, either due to size or contents...
