GMail and msn

i want to know if there is a way to have gmail email in msn like for hotmail, because when i click on my inbox in msn it does nothing. is there a way ? :blink:

u know where it say '' u have 1 new message'' and u can click and it bring u to ur inbox. with gmail account it does not seem to work ... how can i fix this ?

I think he means he wants a way to go to his Gmail inbox using the MSN Messenger "Go To My Email Inbox" thing like you would use for Hotmail. I too would like to know how to do this.

I think this says what you want to know.

Even with this. clicking the link at the top wont take you to your gmail inbox. but it will let you know you have some there... Clicking the popup will open it in a mailclient if so instructed.

That's nice and everything, but you can't access gmail through POP3

I was just about to post that Soviet, so damn you :(

But I thought GMail doesn't have POP3 access (yet)? If not, Messenger Plus! isn't going to help much.

It doesn't, but you can use a program to use Gmail via POP and, therefore, being able to use it through msgplus, get the notifications, and link to http://www.gmail.com instead of an email client when you have new mail.

yeah it work with thunderbird , in fact all the ones that support pop3,

well you can try to do it the real way make a dll library and add links to the registry if anybody is good with reverse engeneering here he can try to rebuild the hotmail file C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\HMMAPI.DLL and add the links to the registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail

i have mailed gmail team about this doesnt seem to be a priority to em
