I find these little apps extremely helpful and they save A LOT of time and clicking PLUS they're free. I would strongly suggest getting the following nice little apps. I install them on every machine I have.

RjH Extensions - (freeware) simple utility that will add a number of useful functions to the context menu of Windows Explorer.

AIRoboform - (freeware)one-click web form filler and password manager with some serious Artificial Intelligence (AI) inside.

PathCopyEx - (freeware) A very simple shell extension that copies the text path of any file/folder in Explorer to the clipboard. Saves a bit of time on all those annoying Browse for Folder windows.

Panicware's Pop-up Stopper - (freeware) best pop-up stopper around.

I have a few others but those are the best I could think of off the top of my head. Take a look at Shell Extension City for more of these gems.

Shutdownpro: http://www.webattack.com/get/shutdownpro.shtml

I think their site is down. So you can downlaod it from here.

ShutDownPro is a small tool that is primarily designed to quickly shutdown, reboot and logoff your system. You can configure it to shut down or reboot your system by simply clicking the tray icon, or use several other options to further control the type of reboot. In addition, it comes with many additional features, that are all accessible from the tray icon. You can switch screen resolutions, empty the Temporary Internet Files , open/close CD-drives, favorite programs launcher, minimize/maximize or close all windows. Furthermore it provides quick access to info about system-resources, all currently running programs, session time, icon rebuilding and more.

Slickrun: http://www.bayden.com/

SlickRun is a 32-bit floating command line utility for ,that gives you almost instant access to any program on your computer. It allows you to create command aliases, so for example C:Program FilesOutlook Expressmsimn.exe becomes "Mail". You can also enter a web URL into SlickRun and it will launch your browser and navigate to the specified address. Slickrun uses a very small command window that is small enough to be placed anywhere on your screen, and can also auto-hide to the system tray. A very nice utility for powerusers.

Neowin Forum Checker

-This will show the last 8 posts on the Neowin forum on your Desktop. To use, run the exe and wait a second for it to load. To access the menu, double click on the "Neowin Forum" text at the top. To view a Neowin post, double click on its title. Refresh Rates below five minutes are not allowed because this could slow Neowins server.

Download Here

Camoflauge

Camouflage allows you to hide files by scrambling them and then attaching them to the file of your choice. This camouflaged file then looks and behaves like a normal file, and can be stored, used or emailed without attracting attention.

For example, you could create a picture file that looks and behaves exactly like any other picture file but contains hidden encrypted files, or you could hide a file inside a Word document that would not attract attention if discovered. Such files can later be safely extracted.

For additional security you can password your camouflaged file. This password will be required when extracting the files within.

You can even camouflage files within camouflaged files. Camouflage was written for use with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT and Windows 2000, and is simple to install and use.

Vitrite is a utility that allows you to manually adjust the level of transparency for almost any visible window.

http://download.com.com/3000-2347-9661147....tml?tag=lst-0-1

Process Explorer finds out what files, registry keys and other objects processes have open, which DLLs they have loaded, and more. This uniquely powerful utility will even show you who owns each process.

http://www.sysinternals.com/

SysShield File Shredder lets you permanently remove files and folders from your system easily without the possibility of data recovery. The tool is integrated with the Windows shell and you can directly start shredding by right-clicking on the selected folders/files and selecting "SysShield File Shredder" from the Windows explorer menu. The program allows you to choose between a quick two-pass or the standard seven-pass file wiping method.

My new favorite spam mail fighter is Spam Pal. It's basically like mailwasher except i think it works better(got no crashes yet), smaller, and works invisibly(except for the goofy tray icon). Give it a shot, it works for basically all email programs for windows.

Ok, I know everyone is stuck on there download managers like GetRight and all the other ones, but I have to vouche for DL Mage. It has all the features you want, and none of the ones you don't. Almost two years of exclusive use, I promise you that you will find this to be the best one out there. Learn to use the features it has, such as the FTP/HTTP explorer and mass link adder.

    • I do trust Apple probably more than these other companies with certain data, but I also do think (and it has been demonstrated that) Apple pulls a lot of shenanigans and always has for a long time.
    • Does your iPhone support the latest iOS version? Here's the iOS 27 compatibility list by Aditya Tiwari It's that time of year when we get to know about the latest operating system updates for Apple devices. For iPhone, Apple previewed the iOS 27 update at WWDC 2026, where the company finally introduced an upgraded version of Siri. Apple typically supports iPhone models for up to five years. But it has been making exceptions in recent years (read iPhone 11). If you're wondering whether your iPhone is compatible with the iOS 27 update, here is the official list of devices: iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17, iPhone 17e, iPhone Air iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16e iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone SE (3rd generation) So, you can download the iOS 27 developer beta on up to 31 different iPhone models. There has been no change to the list of supported iPhones since iOS 26. However, it will expand to include more devices when the iPhone 18 series arrives later this year. To download the developer beta on your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Here, select "iOS 27 Developer Beta" from the list of choices to get the new update. In addition to iOS 27, you can try the developer beta versions of macOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and HomePod software 27 on your supported devices. iOS 27 comes with improved Liquid Glass, which you can adjust using a new transparency slider. Apple said during the keynote that iPhone apps now launch up to 30% faster, new photos appear in the Photos app up to 70% faster, and AirDrop transfers work up to 80% faster. The new update promises to improve performance on older iPhones by introducing a new CPU Scheduler that supports devices all the way back to the iPhone 11. While iOS 27 is supported on older iPhones, it goes without saying that they'll lack several features due to hardware differences. For instance, iPhone 14/14 Plus and older models come with a notch instead of the Dynamic Island. Similarly, Apple Intelligence features are supported on iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and later models.
    • The Radeon RX 9070 XT is right up there with the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
    • I don't know why someone said useless, but it does have that pesky kernel driver bundled, and it's in perennial turmoil. When it goes bad, it goes very bad, and it's impossible to predict when it will due to system differences. I know that they're in the middle of development for a major new version that will include a completely new driver, one that they expect will largely solve the problem, but that's a ways out and it's unproven at this point.
