amoeba
I think I just voted wrong. =P I use and love Outlook Express 6.00.2600.0000 (I assume 2600 is the same as Windows NT Build 2600, aka XP). I love it =P It is the best out there just because it has been around on the PC so long. If I was on a Mac, I would be using Eudora. Eudora for Windows is horrible. Outlook Express XP just works, and that gives it the highest rating in my book. I have tried about 10 mail clients to no avail.

Scorbing
I am currently using Outlook Express XP on my machine. (Yes, I went back to XP after thinking about it 100,000,000,000 times). Anyway, I tried using Outlook 2002 (XP) but I just don't like the bug it has on the progress bar. If you notice, when you send an email with an attachment, the progress bar on Outlook XP (2002) doesn't work like it's supposed to. Not like Outlook Express's progress bar. Try it and see. If the damn progress bar on Outlook XP worked right, I would switch to it because it loads faster than Outlook Express and works faster as well getting and sending email. I emailed Microsoft about that bug some time ago, back in 2000 and they never fixed it. It's still on the current version. :(

nicodareus
I like Calypso...it is an e-mail client that was made originally by MCS Dallas (http://www.mcsdallas.com/), but the company quit making any updates to it a while back last year. It supports pretty much everything but HTTP mail and has awesome filtering. Only wish it had the e-mail ticker like Bat! If you search around for it, their last version 3.30 is available as freeware now...

_imagine_
Mailwarrior is nice, but the filtering function isn't that great.
mortensen
I use the client built into Opera 6... works well and is very quick and easy to use [no loading an external program... as you are browsing it just another window... so fast and so effective]. Outlook XP is just rediculously bloated... Outlook Express is better, but still not as quick and streamlined at Opera.
LunaC
Wow! I'm surprised at so few eudora users. I've used it for years and am quite happy with it.
UKer
Seeing as the email I use is on a microsoft exchange server I dont think there is anything but outlook which can read it. Outlook XP is a saviour when it comes to organising my working life and I use almost every feature at some point in the week. At work we can't choose and at home I find hotmail fine.
