OPaul
Do moderators actually take action when a post is reported? I've seen and reported numerous posts where people are blatantly getting around the swear filter or violating some other rule yet the post is left as it. Is this allowed or are moderators just not seeing the reports that are being sent?
matt74441
This is how I think it works: When you fill out and send the report, an email is sent to the moderator(s) of the forum that the thread is in. So you can report someone's post until you're blue in the face, but if that moderator isn't online or checking their email at that instant, you're just wasting your time. The best thing to do is just PM an active moderator on the board and ask them to deal with it.
....
PM me with the post in question. Yes, we are supposed to get on it right away, and I usually do. However, if it's in a forum where there is a mod that is away for some reason or another, it may not get attention right away. As you may or may not know, we all don't get the 'report' notification...just the mods assigned to that particular forum. Let me know, and I'll take care of it.
