Recommended Posts

Need to forward the port on this, but the software is all in japanese????

Anyone know of any software particularly freeware, that does port forwarding for a hardware based router?

Thanks

im japanese and can read it for the most part...

post a screen shot if you can and i'll be more than happy to try and translate it for you.

what router do you have? I have a linksys router and port forwarding is built in. yours should have that feature as well. i thought all routers had it as a standard feature.

chill out, Big Booger - I can help u out a little:

I got the geocities link to work and the left-hand pane (your settings menu (from screenshot)) is translated as follows:

---------------------------------

-WAN Settings

-LAN Settings

-Wireless LAN Settings

-Virtual Server

-Special Applications

-Packet Filtering

-Status

-Admin Settings

-Reboot Hardware

-Return to Factory Settings

-Refresh Formware

[Logout]

-----------------------------------

the only software mentioned on the zdnet link is for the wireless PC card that comes with it. nothing on the router itself.

hope is helpful
