Dirlister 1.0.1

Question

Ever got a question like "what DivX's do you have? - Can you give me a list of your mp3's - ..."?

Well I do regularly, and I grew sick and tired of doing it manually every time :)

So I made a little program which creates a directory list in notepad.

When installed, there is a new option in the Explorer's context menu for a directory called "List directory in Notepad"

You can download Dirlister 1.0.1 > here < (158 Kb MSI, with advancedinstaller)

Windows XP only!

Notes

* Dirty code, the program doesn't delete the temporary file it creates.

* Installer still asks for an install-directory, but that's not needed, since dirlist.bat is copied to C:\Windows. If I install to another directory, I have to change the %path% variable too.

* Tested on Windows XP pro SP1 and SP2.

Future versions:

* Dirlist options (display time, date, filesize,...)

* Make installer and program compatible with 98, NT, 2000.

Please feel free to leave comments ...

and as always: install at your own risk :)

Thanks :)

Next project: I'm searching a way to copy something (that dirlist) directly in windows' clipboard via a DOS prompt ... So you can just paste it anywhere you like...
