Got my AMD 1.2ghz all the way with a Dragon Orb 3 7000RPM fan keeping my baby cool. I don't have to worry about that Tom's Hardware incident on this bud!

I could have told you that PIII's and Athlons would be the most popular. ;)

PIII - Successful Pentium range, not much competition as Athlons were not being made when early-middle range PIII's were released.

Athlon - Has chewed up and spat out PIV's, they are cheaper and many people believe they are faster.

...Athough their 'cooling' needs are questionable :D

NO they aren't.. where have you been! Mars?:D Everyone by now knows that P3 and Athyz are nothing alike... the comparison is not even made between P3z and Athyz anymore.. it's done with the P4. Athyz run as fast as a p4 with a 400mhz difference.

ie.

An Athlon 1.0ghz runs just as fast and good as a P4 1.4ghz. That's a known fact because i used to Own a P4 but switched to Athyz for the performance gain without the expensive price. I'm on a 1.2ghz 266mhz FSB version of the T-bird and loving it!!

If you will notice the Graph bar the Athlon is red cuz it gets so hot and the P4 is green cuz it costs so much :p Just a Coincident.

If you are from another part of the world, In the U.S. Green is slang for money, May be the same in other parts of the world. :ponder:

Mine's a Pentium 3 @ 500 MHz! If I were to get the fastest PC on the planet right now, I'd get the AMD Palonimo @ 1.8 GHz! :D
