Admiral50
Hi, Ive been a big fan of Neowin.net for a while now - its a cool site. Only recently Ive been reading the forums and think they are superb, some of the best, most interesting and informative Ive seen. So I finally registered up here to join in. Anyway Im having an argument about Kazaa and Morpheus. Are these programs 'illegal' ? I know there always seem to be posts about news and status etc but is there a definate answer here? I thought that they were legal, especially since they are everywhere including ZDnet and Downloads.com etc. I'd like to put an end to my little battle with a mate so hopefully I can get some replies here. Thanks for the time :)

Joseph Zollo
The program itself isn't illegal, though like anything in the world, it can be used for illegal purposes. KaZaA recently won a court case that allowed them to stay operational, I believe they used the old "VCR Defence" ala Napster a few years back.
