hi guys i'm currently using Creative Sound Blaster LIVE Value OEM but i've lost so cd.. so anyways when i installed windows i notice they had detacted my soundcard and already installed drivers for it. now i wanted to upgrade the drivers but when i went to the office webpage www.soundblaster.com and i read on which drivers i would get.. i get totally confuse.. can someone tell me which to downoad... thanks

and also lets say i had a fresh installation of my os which set of drivers for my card should i download?

That would depend on what OS you are running. If you are running Windows XP there is only one driver on creative site. Should not be to hard to figure out. Scroll down to the bottem to Drivers there is 2 links one is a patch and the other is the full driver set. What part is confusing?

hmm i went to a page it says if ur drivers version is blah blah blah or above u need to get the blah blah patch and then get the blah blah blah -.-

I have the same card and I find the Kx Project drivers sound a lot nicer and are much more versatile.

ok thanks i'll try them =D! one that i realise they are alot softer den before after installing creative drivers from the webpage instead of those it automatically installed by microsoft.

I have the same sound card, and with XP pro SP2 it does not work. The OEM disk may work but if you run XP and have SP2 it will not work. I would check out the Kx divers that OPaul suggests, I have not had a chance to yet but he advised me to do that as well.

wow i wasnt expecting a lot from the kx drivers but they really make the sound better on my live card. its much clearer and in some songs i can here instruments that werent there before. it seems to have really increased the treble though and lowered the bass which is fine after adjusting it.
