Evolution
I am not going to buy xp since I have a AMD Athlon 700MHZ, 512MB system. So can anyone give me any tips/tricks on how to enhance my desktop?
pjfraser
Nothing wrong with that system... Why wouldn't you get XP? I'd suggest getting rid of WinME ASAP You'd probably even get a performance boost by using WinXP!

Evolution
I currently don't have the money for XP as I am in High School. Thanks Prof. Frink, I'll try it out!
Martog
One of my old roommates ran XP Pro on a P2 366Mhz laptop with 128Mb of RAM and he said it ran better than Windows 98SE did on on his system, and XP runs fine on my dad's Celeron 500Mhz, an Athlon 750Mhz would be plenty of power, espically with 512Mb of RAM, and with that much RAM, I would be running XP. Sure, it may be a little sluggish, but it does run rather well.
