Windows XP SP1 (hoax)

Btw I should mention that MS can't accidentally forget to change the build date. ALL that stuff is automated and changed whenever the application is revised. You should know that.

The old flags are from an Whistler msstyles skin that he is running.

Also, the 8.1 jump in both IE and WMP, I would expect some new features? Just run smoother i guess is the feature? How about the system properties? Right click on my computer and properties, how about a shot of that.

Looks fake to me, first of all the time stamp/build number is wrong (and that's not a mistake I have ever seen them make) and second the throbber does seem odd, since currently XP has a white throbber, and somehow I doubt you got an Alpha build.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, where are the rest of the screenies, too lazy to fake the others, or you just don't know how ?

:)

It just me, or is there too much space between the 1 and the 0?

And If i'm not mistaken, the ALPHA version was released to OEM's just a few days ago.

The Screen is obvioulsy fake because my aunt works for Microsoft and she told the beta is going to be released sometime next month for beta testers.

Plus the screen can easily be changed using Paint or Photoshop :right:

Here's the proof it's fake....not 100% solid, but it does raise some suspision (sp?).

Fresh screenshot taken from my computer (ClearType turned off). This is an example of text spacing on windows forms, notice the space between the 1 and 0.

Look at the icons in taskbar, it's finally IE6 style, thats what I was waiting for :D

does this come with IE6.1? if not, then it must be coming with SP1....

It's also odd that the copyright is in 02 while the build number is in 01.

Also how did you get it, I assume they emailed you and you logged into the beta download area, show us a screen shot of that ;-) (if they physically mailed you a copy then show us that)

Does anyone who is still wasting their time reading these lies and seeing this garbage know the answer to this question?

Will SP1 be a simple download for free for current XP users or will they have to purchase an upgrade CD for a discounted price? Does anyone know the answer to any question like that. In other words: Will SP1 be availible for free or reasonable charge to current Windows XP users?
