Tikimotel
Go for the TV, X-Box is just plain expensive (and obsolete in 9-12 months) a PC keeps on improving over time.... (costs less than a X-box a year to keep up to date with the games recommended hardware....)
DjmUK
28" Widescreen = is the answer. The X-Box is pathetic in my opinion, way too bulky, expensive, games way too overpriced aswell, and PC's are upgradable which are used all the time, and PC games are just as good depending on the PC's performance. mugs
xbox is just as expensive as ps2 over here, and the games are the same price as well..

Although when it will be hacked it could be a nice Settopbox for PVR and stuff, with Mira or so on it :)

Xbox is one of the most powerful system right now and PS3 will not coming till 2006 so xbox will not be obselete till a new system comes out!! your prediction is bullcrap!! btw, if you dont need it's your decision what to get... but it seems that you need the tv more instead of the xbox, but since you can use your monitor for your xbox y dont go w/ the xbox :)

drewster2100
i would get the big screen tv, thats one thing i am considering doing so long as its big and has s-video and composite, so i can run tv-out to the big screen, other than that i think the tv sucks, dont have cable, and dont like much on now, ladr
