Your thoughts of the Israel-Palestine Conflict

Recommended Posts

Personally, I am sick of the whole thing. Everyday there is news that someone blew themeselves up, Israel's army invades Palistinian controlled territory, or an uprising occurs. Anyway it kills many innocent lives every day. I think that BOTH Israel and Palestinians are to blame for this confict. I hope the conflict ends soon, before worse turns to worst.

What are your comments on this?

I think we can do without comments such as "loser countries" thankyou.

I want to point out that recently a thread very similar to this one was locked because it turned into an all out flamefest. When creating discussions such as these, please respect community posting rules and other cultures. Neowin.net does not tolerate racism. Keep it civil please.

True. The thing about third world countries is that we just do not know what the people of those countries go through. I would not call them "loser countries" since some of the reasons that they are behind economically are not under their control (natural disasters).

Why can't everyone live in peace, this is to do with land, and who has the bigger part, after all we all live on the same earth, why does it have to be divided between different races......

This is my opinion.

Radish.

I wished also that we could all live in peace. I would tend to believe that if something that threatens Earth as a whole, such as an asteroid or alien invasion (very unlikely, but not impossible), the majority of nations would theoretically bond together to address the issue, but even then there would be differences on how to deal with the issue.

As for the Israel-Palestine conflict, the differences in religion, which is what the conflict revolves around, and the fact that the birthplace of three major religions (Christianity, Islam, and Jedism (sp?)) is in conflict, I am afraid that there will never be lasting peace in this region.

This never-end conflict must come to an end. They are fighting for destroying the sake of humanity. They don't have any humanity sense anymore.

im a bit confused since when is Israel a 3rd world country??

anywho, i dont tink this will be resolved anytime soon, there have been centuries of war between these groups, not to mention the recent 30 years of direct fighiting, Mr.Bush is not going to change it.

I know many Israelian and Palestinian people who were born in Canada, and hev never set foot in their respective home countries nor have any cousins /etc.

Even so they still "hate" each other, it's only going to change with education of the youth, but even this generatino is being brought up to hate the other side.

after this long its part of life, culture, it is almost what defines the area.

anywho, i just wish everyone could get along, and find a way to resolve these things, its only land, there is lots of it, and even more important, why cant people share? we in America and Canada manage to do it, along with many other countries, whats the big problem?

Yes and no. While some may not follow a religion and may think that it is just not possible for a heavenly figure to exist, others live and die to their religion, and this is what keeps them going every day.

I do not think that religion is worth going to war over, but some people will disagree here, especially if they are devout to their religion.

In case they haven't found out by now, wars are for fagits! We have fought enough wars, we made compromises... now why don't they just share the land???

What about the US War on Terror??? I think at least we are trying to capture bin Laden, but the trail seems to be cold right now.

People over in this area are not going to share the birthplace of three religions. It would make sense, but those folks feel very strongly about the area in conflict and will not share it, nor will they give up without an all out war.

It is very hard to make a comment without sounding biased.

But I will say this a lot of spin is being spun at the moment and the cause of this conflict is being lost, with child like blame being passed. The history on this region is pretty clear on who caused the conflict.

Innocent civilians are being murdered on both sides. But certain propaganda will focus only on 1 side.

I would not be supprised if at the end of all this a War Crimes court will be held.

Religion is never to balme, there is always a political reason. I think we all know the reason for this war.

The reason for this 1 sideded war is Israel wants the land that belongs to the Palestines. This fact is pretty obvious and has been vocalised by many Israeli people. They beleived it is the promised land and belongs to them only and they are willing to take it by hook or crook. These are Israeli words.
