iCab (iCab Engine) is now one of the best browsers for the Mac. It is definitely the best for OS 9, followed by Mozilla (Gecko).

The Opera engine (Presto) is a fantastic engine, it renders very quickly and will soon have 100% W3C standards compliance. In my opinion nothing can touch it

Yeah. I suppose. I like the easy of use of FF better than anything out there. And I like all the extra functions in Opera. But I think you're right. I'll just keep em both around and use each from time to time. Browers are :wacko:

IE6 was slow and scored low. IE7 B1 Starts fast, stability ends last. IE7 B2 Blazing speed, just everything you need!!

(sorry it is poetry day with us in belgium. overall i like IE7 B2 the most because it looks good, and has almost all functionality of FF and it's good integrated with sites, only a few bugs but they will be fixed)

I presume this poll is about the webpage rendering engine? not the overall user experience, as that will have to take into account the GUI, extensibility and customization.

how can msie have a better engine than opera? it doesn't make sense. ie is incredibly outdated!

oh and 'it's so compatible!' is not a valid argument. msie isn't compatible with sites. sites are compatible with msie. in other words, sites working with msie doesn't say antying about the quality of msie's engine, just that people are forced to make their sites work.

It's so compatible is a valid argument.

Windows is the best operating system for home users, hands down, because of application compatibility.

That's right- Windows isn't compatible with Half Life 2, Half Life 2 is compatible with Windows.

Along the same lines, we can argue that MSIE is good because the overwhelming majority of sites are compatible with it.
