Well, your question seems badly formed and bait for FireFox fanboys.

However, even though I don't use FireFox, my vote goes to its engine, since that is specifically what you are asking; it is my experience that it is more compatible, and that it works better with things like Flash (try loading YouTube videos fullscreen in Opera.)

That issue has been fixed in Opera 9.20.

Personally, I like Presto (the Opera engine) - its fast and very secure.

use Opera if you want a browser bloated with buttons, adds and other anoying things but faster browsing

WTF? how do you mean bloated with adds and anoying things? i really dont get you. you really must hate opera for some reason to say something like that.

I quess if you want complete control for browsing you should use firefox, but opera is far best for easy and simple surfing. And nothing is bloated. firefox is bloated..

Gecko may be the best engine, but I prefer speed when browsing. Therefore, it's Safari for Mac and IE 7 for Windows. I've used Firefox and Opera on both platforms and the "built-in" browsers almost always perform better. Plus, they look the nicest stock :D

Firefox, Opera, K-Meleon, The World, SeaMonkey, Konqueror, and Internet Explorer 6, each for different reasons. I guess Firefox is the best all around browser, Gecko the best layout engine. A quick rundown of most can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_browsers.

The World Browser is out of Asia, the last version I've used is 2.0. Oh, I almost forgot IceWeasle.

    • I gave up on browser ad-blocking extensions a few years ago, replaced them with Adguard. Not perfect but overhaul is a nice app that does the job on both Windows and Android with the respective versions.

    • "Of course the easiest solution is to switch to uBlock Origin Lite if you want to remain on Chrome, as it is MV3-based, but from our experience, uBO Lite does not seem to be as good as the original non-Lite version" In my experience uBlock Origin Lite does the job for normal everday home users. When they kill that we get to watch Firefox and Brave get a boost in user market share.
    • Block by DNS ad blocker! I dare you! I will even layer unlock Origin, on top of my internal DNS, if I need to and I don’t even block ads today (I really should but this type of behavior makes me angry). I suppose I could also just be lazy, and add the flags myself, back to each release (it wouldn’t be that difficult).
    • Wonder what MPs have ties to these privacy/verification/data harvesting companies that are going to step in this time. Last time under the Tories half the cabinet had fingers in the pies, heck even the PM and his wife at the time was working for silicon valley, probably made a fortune.
