The Cards were projected to finish third in their division :blink: so was atlanta. and atlanta also cut $15 million in payroll, started the season 32-38, including a perfect game pitched against them, and have played ball at almost a .700 clip since then. this after losing greg maddux, javy lopez, gary sheffield, vinny castilla, and others.
