You guys who are actually interested in whether what we perceive is real should read Aldous Huxley's The Doors of Perception (from which The Doors got their name). It's a short book.

Antimatter is simply matter with a reverse charge. A proton has a positive charge, and anti-proton has a negative charge. It's not that hard to understand.

Matter: Protrons and Neutrons ---> Nucleus--> + charge

Electrons-----------------------------------> - charge

Antimatter: Anti-protrons and neutrons-->Nucleus-->- charge

Positrons-------------------------------------->+ charge

When matter comes in contact with antimatter, the two are annihilated.
