getting visual basic 6

Question

well ive been searching for the last week or so and i cant find somewhere where i can get visual basic 6. Ebay is not an option for me and most software sites where i get my stuff from dont have it for sale as its an old program and its all the .net stuff these days. Thats fine but college uses vb6 and not the .net stuff.

Does anyone know where i can get visual basic 6 ? im sure i cant be the only student trying to find copies that still exist of visual basic 6 ??

many thanks :ninja:

warez :shifty:

no, seriously though: is this for school? if so you can probably get it directly from them

if not try a website that sells academic software most of them should have it

yeah its for college . Tried warez i h8 to admit :( and the kind person who set it up forgot the msdn 98 disc so theres no help files so id rather try and obtain an original copy . The only reason college has to teach on vb6 is they cant afford to upgrade to visual studio.net as otherwise id just get visual studio :/ ah well im sure ill find it if anyone does have sites that sell programming software id apprecita it :)

They cant afford to upgrade to visual studio? What kind of learning institution do u goto? sorry im not trying to be a jerk, but a school that is teaching outdated software probably isnt a good school to be inrolled in...

yeah thats what i thought blachole  i have doubts about running visual basic on xp too  anyways im determined to succeed the course so some way or other i need to get visual basic 6 for programming . Ive only found one place so far but i think the price is as high as it is partly due to the fact that vb6 seems to be like gold dust

too bad ebay is not an option for you. my first idea is to go to a bookstore (barnes & noble, borders, etc), and look in their computer books... usually they have a vb6 book that comes with a vb6 cd. granted it's no full install, though.

i will pm you with further details.
