i think they suck. Every other week a new security hole makes itself known :disappoin you'd think a company that has billion's of dollars and hundreds to THOUSANDS of programmers could make a better OS. But no, what do they do? "Piraters! let's get'm! Spend millions beyond millions in developing Windows Product Activation! yeah great idea! We'll fight casual pirates and get back 3 mil a year! And if we're lucky, crackers won't be able to crack WPA! And maybe piraters will spend anywhere from 100 to 300 dollars for windows!" But what about security? What about a better Windows OS? A OS that is actually worth the money you demand for it. Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about piracy if people felt your products were worth the money you ask. " :o uh? "

This is just me, but uh, i think it's cheaper to spend the money to make your OS top notch than it is to fight piracy. All they got to do is make a product that is worth the price they command for it. There will still be piracy. There will always be people who simply will not pay 200 bucks for a piece of software on a cd. BUT, i think MS would make more money on a better product than trying to kill piracy and hoping pirates find it in their hearts to buy a product not worth 200 bucks. MS can never grasp such an idea. As for as they care so many people use windows, they cannot switch to another OS as the majority will stay with MS Windows simply because it is the most supported by far. As long as the majority think Windows will always be on top and nothing can change it, MS will always be on top and they'll never have a reason to push themselves to make the OS we all want. MS doesn't realize a better OS means more sales.......

They only care to know that at this point Windows is pretty much the OS you HAVE to buy. So instead of trying to increase sales by working harder, and making a better OS and life for everyone, they play in a game of cops and robbers, trying to prove they are better than the little guys. Big Software cops vs piraters. Big bad is ****ed because guy at home can crack his software as if it's as easy as cracking a nutshell. :disappoin That's MS for ya. Hopefully some of the companies that make MS the most money will step up and tell them enough is enough. I believe it was the airforce? that has started the chants, enough is enough. NO MORE SECURITY PROBLEMS OR ELSE KISS OUR BIZ GOODBYE.

So no, i don't love MS i think they suck. I enjoy XP alot with it's perty vs and it being more stable and all that, but it's still the same old windows with security flaws left to right because MS's more worried about securing their empire as number 1 and f-ing up Windows than making computing what it should be, FUN. Instead, we all get to play with firewalls, anti virus programs, countless updating, and countless security related apps to protect ourselves.

I think Microsoft sucks because they dont make new ideas, they just develop on previous ones (Windows has not had anythiing radical happend since 95, and XP should have been Windows 98). The only OS that they made that I like is Win2k (stability and performance).

This is a do you love MS thread, not tell us why you hate MS thread.

But ill concede as an MS lover, WPA was a big dissapointment, really the logic for the whole thing wasnt even right, maybe if they had written a flowchart and followed it through they would have seen how flawed it really was.

But in heignsight when it was first mentioned it sounded really cool, and hightech. Just didnt turn out that way.

Micros*it suxor! Sorry about that, but I must tell you all the truth! All of Micros*it's software are a piece of crap compared to the competition as I have tested! For example, Mozilla 1.0 RC1 can do everything Internet Explorer/Outlook can in a faster, more efficient rate! The technologies that Office just came up with in XP, Corel had three to four years before hand! MSN Messenger goes down constantly and still keeps a lot of information about you even when you want to discontinue using the .Net passport, but ICQ and AIM don't! Their Windows XP demands activation, but Linux doesn't and they too have more advanced OSes than Windows! They have the most efficient Updating system available! Also, Windows has a heck of a lot more security holes than Linux! What else can explain Micros*it's constant critical update releasing! :D Also, I detest Micros*it because of their monopoly! This is funny! American products tend to be crappier than those manufactured in other countries, yet they monopolize the global economy? Something has to be done about this! :D

Webgraph im sensing that you might be feeling a little hostile towards MS :p

Im not going to waste my time argueing agaisnt you, lets be honest would be fruitless, just as it is you trying to convince me otherwise, but surely you gotta admit MS and windows have done alot for computing. Yeah they may have the global market cornered, in their monopoly but hey thats the power of globalisation in the world today. Now obviously theres something right in their products or everyone and the millions that run windows wouldnt be using it. And in all fairness not like MS have propaganded their way into selling windows.
