Osiris
Credit cards are only dangerous when people think they can pay off other debt and particulary other credit card debt with them. Hence welcome to the Debt Trap Cycle.
kbs
Originally posted by X Right now, I only know of one bank (havnet raelly looked into other ones) that does that but I would have to be with the bank for like 6 months before they will give me that.. Thats why im thinking of just applying for a credit card. If they wont give me a real credit card then I would have to use the bank visa credit card. I'm not sure where you're from, but to me that sounds a little strange...Here, as far as I know at most of the banks, when you sign up for a checking account they ask if you want a debit card, and its generally mailed to you within a week or two of opening your account. I rarely carry more than 20$ in cash. I have my paycheck directly deposited into my account and use my debit card for everything
bayrider
i use my credit card for anything basically over $20 not because i dont have the cash, but because i get to build a line of credit and trust me, a line of credit is very important when u get older and u build a history with the banks and various other companies be it for personal or business. and whats the difference if u pay cash or credit card? as long as u pay your bill before the due date there is no particular differnce except for that u pay all at once

lister
My mum and dad needed to get one for when I was buying my computer over the Internet from a store in London. I also use it for buying Manchester United European game match tickets. But when we buy things we pay the bill straight away so we don't need to pay a huge amount of interest on top.
