tiger2k
Before everyone think that this another post against XP, it isn't, i mean i love the os its easy and nice looking, but man!! i have re-installed 3times and everytime after a while there is a different problem. 1st install I had problems with the power, insted of powering off by it self it said, "it is now safe to shutdown you computer" also it would not go to standby. many people told me that i needed to update by BIOS. 2nd install after the problems above and others i got ****ed, and re-installed and woun't you know it... without the BIOS update it started to go to standby and shutdown right. :devious: well that problem was fixed somehow, but i started to get problems about windows update, a couple of programs would crash... 3rd install I got ****ed again and re-installed... yet again some of the problems were fixed and more problems arrived here is the list. 1) it will not remember folder views even when the option is checked on folder options 2) can use Help & support or any of the troubleshoot section on programs 3) its booting slower than ever even after using BootVI and defrag 4) Internet won't let me use Java applets even when i have it enabled, 5) ... and someothers that i'm too ****ed to list ... well i'm done with re-installing, i say that my eXPerience (or should i say eXPeriment) is over, i'm re-installing windows 2000 and using Windows Blinds. :dead: :(

hurting101
My eXPerience First install: The system was going damn slow Second Install: Couldn't access recovery console because of an unfixable but, so had to go to XP Pro (long story). System still damn slow. Third install: Partitioned, and now only C: goes very slow Forth install: C: went terribly slow, then suddenly went average one day. Now My C: is going at 50% of what is should be going.

Osiris
lol ive never had any troubles with whistler or XP and ive been using it since build 2410. Ive had to odd trouble or run in with WPA when it first got implemented but nothing as severe as youve got, and I use to run it on the biggest hunk of junk machine going around.
