Here is some official news from a tech that works for Msn services in there DC.

Msn services made an update not so long ago for the new messenger 7 beta and its features, however when they implemented the new system into the server cluster things when wrong and packets are being sent to the wrong routers and nodes ( servers ).

There DC is always having problems, they have cheap and nasty equipment from IBM. So no wonder it always phux up.

Thanks for the info bushrat. At least they know it's down :)

not a big deal, go outside or read a book

I would go and read a book, or even go outside, but I'm stuck in work. MSN being the only IM application that I can use on our ducks backside of a network. :( guess I'll just have to actually do some bloody work now

Got his from another forum:

Everyone is having problems with MSN, me included, my friend has informed me that some little (Insert Swearword) is hacking into DOS and has knocked MSN out, so I dunno how long its going to be unavailable.
I replied with:
lol, you seriously think someone is got into DOS on MSN Servers?

Sorry, but i dont even think Microsoft Use DOS anymore, they tried to filter it out by calling it a different name using XP.

Good thing I went on to Trillian yesterday, however, it doesnt give it any points for the testing side of it :( Will wait till it blows over, then test it again.

Pete

    • Well Statcounter doesn't count Edge users as Chrome. It uses the user agent and my understanding is the Brave browser users the standard Chrome user agent for privacy/tracking reasons and compatibility so that would help the Chrome numbers. Some Firefox users change the user agent for again compatibility reasons. I am going to totally guess the Chrome numbers are inflated some 5 or 6%.

    • Well duh. But it's not their agenda, they just push it forward.
    • Easier to move to Firefox, either Zen Browser or LibreWolf (which includes it by default)
