cep_head Posted October 11, 2004 Share Posted October 11, 2004 i'm looking for a registry tweak that will let me remove the icon and option for standby? it shows it when you go to shut down your pc. i don't use it nor do i use hibernation and i was wanting to remove it. if anyone knows of a registry tweak that would remove it ,it would be great if you could post it or a link to it. thanks. wasabi Posted October 11, 2004 Share Posted October 11, 2004 To get rid of the Hibernation one goto control panel power options hibernate unmark the "enable hibernation" as for the standby option you can probably disble to option BUT wont be able to remove it showing up on the Tunoff popup thing cause its built in to the .dll which holds the bmps of it (cant remeber which one) youd have to make that part of the bmp translucnent - but it would still be there hidden. If someone has figured out how to make there buttons dissapear, please let me know so that I can reverse the steps and make mine reappear. Thanxx!!
