I know Cheti Chand is *sort of* the Sindhi new year festival, though it represents a lot more than that. So Happy Cheti Chand. And though I don't know their import, Happy Vaisakhi and Nav Ratri, too!

It'd be good if you could explain it to everyone. ;)

hey

decided to explain

Cheti Chand -- Sindhi New Year

Vaisakhi -- The Sikh Festival of Commitment, Hope, and Renewal

Nav-Ratri -- Well, it is the nine days when we are suppose to thank the female principle of nature and the goddesses connected to them. As the agricultural communities had free time only in the evenings (days being too busy with manual labour in the fields), evenings and nights were chosen as the ideal times to celebrate the festival of the goddesses

btw.. google it if you want more info :p

laterz ;)
