Skwerl Posted August 2, 2001 Share Posted August 2, 2001 Wow! I'm downloading XP RC2 at a blazing-fast 5K/sec from Conxion.com. When I downloaded RC1 I was getting 150K/sec! What happened? Is the slowness because more people signed up for the preview program after RC1 or what? This is awful! Also, did anyone notice Conxion being down most of the night and morning? me101 Veteran Posted August 2, 2001 Veteran Share Posted August 2, 2001 I signed up for the preview, but because of Microsoft's slowness to release RC2 in a timely manner to preview participants, I decided to go onto my local news server where some kind soul had posted rc2 iso, so i downloaded that, on sunday morning!!! I got an excellent speed in excess of 170k! And had RC2 installed, activated a full three days before Microsoft let the WPP people acces to conxion.
