no use for a name is not emo...shame on you...

also I like emo kids...they are kind of like hippies...if you are bored there are always some around to kick the crap out of

people who say they hate emo dont know anything about it. emo has long since lost it's real meaning which is very sad.

like when someone says "i hate ____ cause they're emo" not knowing that band isnt even emo. nowadays any band that writes sad lyrics, people automatically go "EMO!!"

ugh this is why i hate genre classification

thursday is such an incredible band. geoffrey's stage presence is just wow. he puts so much emotion into everything he sings. i wish more singers did that. seriously if they put on anymore shows, you guys have to check them out live.

Thursday is my favourite band. Their live show is so good.

I just went and saw Hopesfall, Moneen,

and Alexisonfire live, man that show was nuts, i've been to all the warped tours, and like 20 shows in vanvcouer, and this one took the #1 spot!

If I do, I don't know.  I like individual artists and groups, and if I enjoy their sound, I listen to them.  Sticking to specific genres is for the narrow-minded.

yeah, my favourite style is screamo, but i listen to Rock, and some Hip Hop, and a whole lot of Metal and Metalcore bands.

but my friend who listens to indie, says that im nerrow minded, or ONE TRACK! and he hates rap, rock, metal and punk.

Thursday is about the only band I listen to that would be considered modern emo by most people. I don't really classify them as any one thing though. I like a lot of the bands that actually started the "label" of emo, or so history says. Embrace and H?sker D? for example.

Yes - I was a total fan of emo when I first discovered it but recently, I just have been drifting away from that genre, the same goes to subgenres of emo such as emocore. One thing that makes me mad is the stereotype hovering around emo with the depression and sadness of people who listen to it. The same goes towards heavy metal with them being "goths" and hip-hop being "gangsters". It just angers me that people think music makes what you are to some people...
