Help Me With My English Exam

Recommended Posts

Okay, this is the story - I am a 16 year old Israeli, and i'm in a native speakers class (Although I was born in Israel and lived there all my life), basically an "accelerated" class, so I get to take my final exam a little earlier (11th grade instead of 12th). Because i'm the best student in my class (No braggin' ;) ) my teacher has given my the opportunity to take the test THIS year (10th grade) which is great as it takes off pressure from the next two years. So i'm being examed on sunday, an oral exam and a MAGEN test (Pronounced MAG-GEN as in maGnum) which is sort of a "shielding" test (MAGEN is shield in hebrew) that usually improves the final score. I'll take the final test (Called BAGRUT) at the end of the year.

So what I want from you, native english speakers, is - tips for my grammer, you know.. how to avoid common mistakes and so on (Like no "if" after "will" etc).

I'd appricoate your info, and i'll be glad to help you all in your next test in Hebrew ;)

Thanks.

First of all, good job on excelling!

Second thing...just make sure you know little things (That's where people screw up the most), like punctuation, tenses, SPELLING, complete the sentences and words fully...so, instead of goin' , make it going. When you talk to your friends on IM's, check your sentences if they're gramatically okay. People eventually get lazy and begin spelling 'rite' instead of 'right' but if you keep at it, you should be okay.

Good luck!
