Internet Explorer Maximize Problem

Question

Ok... I use Internet Explorer, and it seems to forget its window size everytime it pops up a new window.

Example: I click on the Internet Explorer Icon on my desktop, and the window opens up the way I want it to, but lets say i go to a website where you click on a link and a new window pops up and the link loads in it, but the problem is that that window is always the wrong size. It never opens maximized, and it gets very annoying, because I think I am clicking the pop up windows "X" to close out, but I click the wrong one and the wrong window closes.

I hope that makes sense... if it doesn't then I will try putting it this way: The main window of Internet Explorer is ok, but when a new pop up window comes up it forgets to maximize.

I maximize it thinking that it will remember to do it... but it never does.

So any ideas?

Thanks,

Dammit mort, are you deliberately trying to gross everyone out. Change your sig

Seriously? I'm not trying to gross people out, I just thought that the eye was quite 'eye-catching' (no pun intended). I will change it if anyone has found it offensive, but no-one has mentioned it before.

Please PM me if you want me to change it (anyone, not just mods) and I will change it... but I don't find it gross.

click on ie on desktop, change window to size u want, close window, re-open, should remember size now,

Yeah, it's dead simple to fix.... just have only one window open... change it to the size you want, and then close it. Then open up IE again and it's fine.... but popups can CHANGE that in a flash and put you right back where you started... THAT is why it's annoying.

i figured out how to fix it

in IE, maxmize your window, then start searching your hard drive, in the address bar switch it to C:

this will change to "explorer" then go up to TOOLS > Folder Options > then VIEW > APPLY TO ALL FOLDERS

thats how i fixed it.
