I'm getting cable finally installed this week :).

My problem is that I have two different NIC's in my drawer.

An Intel Pro 10+

and a 3com 3c905b TX

Which NIC should I put in my PC?

Does one of them have issues either under XP or with any of my hardware?

I'd really appreciate some advice.

Thanks,

xp has support both of them, install it, and you'll be working upon bootup.

I went with the 3Com in the end mainly because:

We use them in all of our PC's at work (100+).

These cards have never had any major issues (under any OS).

Nobody posted to say they weren't very good.

Anyway,

I'm all cabled up now, the installation went smoothly and the service from my ISP has been great so far.

Now what to do with all this bandwidth? :)

i only have 3com, myself, but i'll have to get a linksys wireless because 3com from my knowledge doesn't have any wireless NIC's and i'm about to setup a wireless network in my home.
