Did cnet buy zdnet?

Recommended Posts

recently zdnet "re-did" their website... but.. was it because cnet bought zdnet?

Or did they just want to copy cnet?

Yep, cnet bought zdnet.

Look at the bottom of the 3rd and 4th screenshots you posted. They contain a list of sites that are part of the "cnet network" including cnet, zdnet, techrepublic, etc.

Wow this is old news, CNet bought out the ZDNet web site and some other properties awhile back, early to mid last year I think. The only thing that's left of ZD is the publishing company, as ZDTV is now TechTV as we all know. Also the ZDNet site has been looking more and more like the CNet site for awhile now too.

but remember it was 2000 when a few billion here or there was no big deal to anyone, HAHAHHA

but none the less Ziff Davis is / was a MASSIVE company, and their roots are in mag publication which im sure is 100% more profitable then the net **** they had going.

you dont think there is money in publication?? go look a

McGraw Hill, they dudes that make your science text book also OWN the S&P, which means they basically own the entire business sector of N/A.
