NJCam
A buddy of mine's got a little project for school. He has to find a network administrator, and interview them. Neither of us know any, so I've come here for some help. We'd really appreciate it if anyone can answer the questions below... Thanks in advance, - Cam 1.What is the network operating system(s)? 2.Is the file server(s) a microcomputer, minicomputer, or mainframe, and how many servers are there? 3.How many network printers are there? 4.What licenses are provided for software use on the network? How many user accounts are there? 5.What type of e-mail system is there? 6.Does the organization use Groupware, and if so, what is the name of the Groupware software? 7.How many network support positions and the titles of the positions within the organization. 8.What IT position is in the most demand now (within the organization.) 9.Does the organization have a Website, and if so, who supports it? If it is supported internally, the titles of the positions that support it. 10.Include the name of the business and the name and title of the person you contacted. Stryder68
I think you are asking for too much specific information, especially considering I do not know you from the man on the moon. Revealing that many specifics as to the hardware and sofware we use, is just too much of a security risk. That much info in the wrong hands could wreak havok on our systems. Sorry, but can't do it. I find it hard to believe any teacher would really expect someone to just hand over that much info that could help a hacker. Well, no I don't. Most teachers are clueless when it comes to security. If there are other, less specific questions, I would be more than happy to help.
