Deryck
Hey thanks, that is what Neowin is about . Wow, that is tight for money, I would advise to wait until you have slightly more capital, unless I am mistaken that laptops cost cheaper over there then here. MLapointe
For anybody looking for a cheap refurbished laptop from a major brand name. I picked this up at a Gateway Country stores and am waiting for them to ship it to the stores or to me however they want to handle it. Here's a link to it for all of you who may be interested in a laptop for less than 750.00 US. These are refurbished models by the way. http://www.gateway.com/home/deals/advertis...cashcarry.shtml I purchased the Gateway Solo 1200 with an Intel Celeron 800 Mhz processor and so on for 699.99 + 49.99 S&H = 750.00 + 7% tax. They come with a one year parts and labor warranty where I can bring it to my local Gateway Country store for repair. This was not listed on this page. That's the bits and pieces. They also have a model for 550.00US with a 500 Mhz processor too but you can look yourself

Refurbished In computer technology, refurbished refers to "old" or used computer equipment that has been restored to like-new working condition and/or appearance or computer devices that have been sent back to the factory to fix a flaw. The term typically refers to the hardware components of a computer that have been either replaced with similar components or updated with newer technology than the device originally came with. Companies that lease computers will often refurbish the computers after they are turned in and resell the refurbished units, commonly referred to as refurbs, at prices lower than those of new computers and/or donate the refurbs to schools or charities. So I don't understand what you mean you want a reburbished one that isn't used. because thats what reburbished is. If you want something not used, then you wanna buy a NEW Machine. MLapointe
I mean't I wanted a refurbished laptop from like Gateway or Dell with at least a one year warranty so I can count on it working for at least a year or more if that works out. A used laptop by my definition does not come with a warranty or a too small of a warranty to make a difference like I would get from say ebay or usedlaptops.com or the like. Tha's what I meant buy that and I apolige for the misunderstanding. That was totally my fault there. Thanks for pointing that out because I bet other people were wondering what I meant there too.
