Caffine Soda Nearly Got Me Killed

OMG

I just found out what happens when you save soda pop to long.

I had these collector cans from Star Wars Episode I.

I have been savibng them in my closet on top of these other collectibles.

Anyways I look in today and the pop actually turned into acid ate through the can and leaked all over, then the pop is eating through a bunch of cardboard and making a hissing noise. So I goto throw the cans away when I pick them up they smell like battery acid. And they started eating into the garbage bag!

Nothing better then having acid spill on ur collectibles and nearly destroy some of them worth a ton o money. :dead:

Yeah, we did a thing with Coke to test that fact before, that stuff can be pretty bad. It eats into stuff. I guess if I let my pepsi sit in the can long enuff it will be just as corrosive as coke. Hmm. I wonder. Maybe I should have let the Mountain Dew can sit longer.

I decided to throw them out just in case as well. I dunno what would have happened. Maybe the explosion on them would have been sweet.

Good Point. What is up with that? Well still it has some sentimental value or something. I guess I have to save the Episode II cans with the soda consumed already if they make any.

:lick: :lick: :lick:

I live in Indiana. We back hill folk call it Pop sometimes. However, I try not to let the world of Indiana change my brain functions so I usually say soda. I slip up sometimes. Now to convince my friends and family to say soda.

It's soda. S-O-D-A! Pop is an unofficial western term that should be eliminated! Long live the East Coasters! Bwahaha!

By the way, that's a funny story. I probably will never run into that problem, considering I drink an average of 10 Sunkists cans a day. :)

Dude thats funny. You better wash your hands with some cold water so the soda doesn't eat through your skin. Hehe, that would be a first one. "Look mom, I am melting !" :) :D :p :ditsy:

haha - I have family in Indiana so I know all about the conspiracy to convert "soda" drinkers to "pop" drinkers...pop this and pop that all the time up there....

BUT - here in Texas I think you're looked at kinda funny if you say soda or pop...here everything is just plain ol' "coke"...but that's not necessarily what the speaker is asking...as in the following example:

Q: "You want a coke?"

A: "Sure, I'll have a Dr. Pepper." (or fill in your drink of choice)

but that's how things work here :) coke as noun, not proper. (to be quite grammatical)...

Same here in Oklahoma, although I've heard alot of people say pop. I'm originally from Florida and we call it coke or soda down there, so when I first moved out here and someone asked if I wanted a pop... I was like WTF?! :D

Anyways my dad used to work at Pepsi when he was younger, the stories he tells about the factories and the stuff that sometimes falls into the "brew". Like that they used the stuff to clean with sometimes, because it will eat through damn near anything.
