Big Booger
I know back some time ago, morpheus went down, and it was because kazaa shut them down... or something like that. I was under the impression at that time that the software could still be used because there was no centralized server, users were sharing strictly P2P whilst using users with superfast connections as supernodes... Now on to my question: Is there any way to keep these P2P softwares going if in case of the morpheus situation, the companies were to close down shop? Just curious, BB
babis
depends on fastrack so far kazaa and grokster are still using it. morpheus is currently using gnuetella, and many other programs are using the same service... so p2p is pretty much embedded now... if anything fails there is always the backup of irc networks...
