alpha aim, real or not?

Recommended Posts

aim would not jump from 4.8 to 5.0, plus, most of the reversion numbers are 4 digits, not three (5.0.xxxx), also the mail icon is just someone with a set buddy icon

my .02 cents

Why would they update the buttons in the title bar and not the ones to send etc. Definitely fake.

probably just because its using an xp manifest! for the styles.

that seems hella fake...

though i think it seems reasonable for the AIM developers to make a jump from 4.8 to 5.0 because they haven't been updating betas for quite some time now. (at least it has felt like forever)

i just hope a new one (ANY UPDATE) is released soon!!!

:p :p :p :p :p

...and thus, there is trillian...

mostly because aol gay-ed up icq and started doing it with aim with the news ticker at first (why get news from aol when i can go to other, more reputable sites to get it?) and the aim today thing (same thing really, just in a more annoying window)

you all have learned very well... these are indeed fake. I made them myself :D

Just wanted to see how many people would fall for it.... which... no one aparently did... heh...

On a side note though, ads within the IM windows are probably not too far off. In fact, I'm almost certain they will put them in there by the end of this year.

Nice work Emu. IF AOL does indeed plan to add more ads, then i will be sticking with an old version. But then, i guess they may make older versions incompatible just to screw us......

I can see Trillian winning alot more members in the not so distant future.:ermm:

does look good.. but uhh.. the ICQ ad gives it away. They wouldn't advertise for another Client. even if they do own it. They will own advertise for aol. People on aim most likely DONT have aol. So if they put AOL ad's, it'll switch them to AOL.

knowwhat i mean :)
